Sale of Balance Flats May 2013

The HDB website just launched its Sales of Balance Flats today! http://www.hdb.gov.sg/ Surprisingly, there are a few flats up from Ghim Moh Edge too. I was looking through Clementi's list and most of the available flats are from Casa Clementi, which is not exactly the most convenient of place. But there is another one up for grab at Clementi Towers (Surprise!) I guess no one wants that flat huh, despite the high floor. I guess the pickings for this time round is not too bad. Even Tiong Bahru and Queenstown have very good flats up this time. Westies for the win! ^^ (Okay lah, I admit I'm not very interested in the East/North flats. They are a bit too far from my current house for my liking.)

Review: Abe's Diner at Tiong Bahru

It took us a few turns to find Abe's Diner, because, we saw the sign wrongly and thought that it was aloe's instead. HAHA. For those who can't really find it, it is near Hotel 81 Osaka, (in one of the shops opp it - just walk around and you will see it.) I think Hotel 81 is like the most obvious mark around there. When we walk in, I could only hear Japanese around me. I think the shop survived on mostly Japanese customers, especially when both the waiter and waitress did not know much English. The menu was limited, as I had figured, and the shop was really quaint. We ordered an omakase set and carbonara with Japanese hot tea to go. The sashimi was one of the freshest that I had tasted, and left me hankering for more. The appetisers were small, but there were three types, and they all tasted good despite me not knowing what was inside. We took a very very long time to eat there, because the dishes were served one by one instead of coming out all at once. In a sense,

Review: Hong Kong Olympic City 2 Tim Ho Wan

Finding the place was not as easy as it seems to be despite it being in a shopping mall. My parents and I went there on a weekday at around 2pm, and we had to ask around for directions from the security guard before we manage to find the place. The trick is, you have to pass through an emergency exit to go out of the mall before you can see it. Luckily for us, the queue is non-existent as it was past lunch hours. The pork buns were the best! I was looking around for recommendations and I saw that practically every table ordered these and we ordered two sets! Of course, I was the one who ended up eating most of the buns =P For the rest of the food, they were all above average for those that we ordered, such as the chee chong fun, as well as the prawn dumplings. I can't remember what else we ordered but they were all so yummy! Even my dad, who is like the super duper picky eater also praised the food. He said that it was the only edible dim  sum restaurant that we have tried

Waiver of my late charge fees for Citibank

This was the first time that I actually did not manage to pay my bills in time because I was overseas when they sent me the late notification sms. I called them the first time via the hotline and they told me to leave my contact number and they would get back to me. After a few days, I still did not receive their phone calls, which might be due to the fact that I was in Malaysia. Then, I called them today again and requested to speak to the CSO. They did a quick job of waiving my late fees. I'm just glad that they got waived because it was like 50 bucks even though it was a day or 2 late. OMG.

Movie Review: Epic

Caught it in Malacca on the day of release. I would say that the title is very misleading. I went in without knowing the plot of the movie, and enjoyed it tremendously. The style of the movie is similar to Miyazaki Hayao, or so it appears to me. The little girl, M.K, was in a forest looking for Ozzie when the forest fairy died and passed the life of the forest to her. It was up to her to protect this life before it blooms in the brightness of the moon, and give birth to a new forest fairy who will protect the forest from decay, aka their enemies. She realises what her role was when it came to the climax of the plot, and she seeks out her dad who will help to restore the balance. She ended up making friends with the leafmen. This delicate line of balance of the good and bad, which Studio Glibli likes to emphasise. I love the humor of it, as well as the colour schemes of the movie (I'm a sucker for colourful and beautiful animations) haha. Makes me wish that I am living tog

Malacca Trip May 2013

Went with PL to Malacca. This trip is the second one this year. There is quite a huge difference in the crowd between weekdays and weekends. There were like totally no one in the mall during weekdays, and we were wondering how the businesses survive. We stayed at Equatorial Hotel this time round, and the experience was awesome! I had a very full breakfast, and I would say that it is better than the KSL resort that we stayed at the other time round in JB. We went to the Portuguese settlement foe seafood dinner, and the cab ride cost us 15 ringgit one way. The cab driver was nice enough to pick us up 2 hours later despite our late timings. Stall 1 service was bad :( Like seriously bad. The auntie seems to not want our business at all, putting on a frown for our own dinner. Damn sian. Because we were dumb enough not to bring enough money for the first night, we couldn't order the crabs as it was 68/kg and we had to order a min of 2 crabs which would have cost us around 100+, a

otw to interview

It has been a long time since I'm so nervous about an interview. Was bitching tgt with mj with dss giving inputs to us. Hisashiburi ni, wl contacted me abt the aquarium tix It feels so weird, like kinda in a limbo state. I guess that's youth huh. Or just illusions that have been disillusioned. Interestingly, dss really wanna go overseas with us? I wonder what is going on in his mind when he had said before that he likes to travel alone. Or maybe he just wish that there is some cheerfulness in his life right now:D

realised i have this weird habit

Ureshii koto wo kakenai kedo, kanashii koto toka iraira suru koto toka kaku yo. Demo katta no ato ha kimochi ga yokunattekuru dakara yappari kaku. Mata kareshi to kenta shita yo. Am i really making the right choice? If so, my little fairytale world is so disillusionised that I dunno what to do anymore. Whoever that says that life is full of fun must be kidding me I can't wait for this life to end.

whatever shit

I guess i am just not cut out for this job. Asking me to do bo liao stuff and screaming at me does not help matters. Ultimately I am still very reluctant to do what is required of me. Is there really a job which i like out there for me? I REALLY hate this job of mine. And blame me if I dun it well, because I'm so sick of it.
