A week of sore throat and god-knows-what-sickness

I was down with a fever (very rare for me) and my throat hurts like mad. It's still hurting like mad now and the medicine is not working at all. Tuesday was the only day in the week where I managed to see PL at all according to our initial schedule because we were just too damn packed with activities. But he came only to see me sick and down with a fever (and probably me shifting around in bed so very often). He was super nice though - like how all husbands should be - (patting me to sleep but ahh.. minus away the going back home part) So on Wednesday when I felt a teeny weeny bit better, I popped by his house for a surprise visit. We didn't do much since he has to (yes!) wash clothes again, so I just stuck around surfing his computer (without internet) and mugging a bit of Japanese. This sick feeling is so damn irritating that I feel like replacing my throat.

Divorce?

Divorce - People treat it as a dirty word. But is it truly dirty as what everyone thinks it to be? Today, I saw someone cared about his ex-wife when she was admitted into hospital. Initially I thought that they were at loggerheads with each other after the divorce but it seems like it is not the case. They have two kids by the way. I am always baffled by how people can still be close friends after they broke up/divorce and I still do not get it now. But with this gesture of concern, I wonder if there are still tender feelings long after the loss of love for the person. I mean, one will definitely remember all the good and bad times when they were still together - the shared connection so as to speak. People get together because they are in love with each other. People divorce for various reasons. In Singapore, the usual reasons for divorce are as follows: The defendant committed adultery. This usually requires a report from a private investigator. If you contin...

Bad experience at Fitness First Singapore for membership transfer

Recently, as I have been busy, I wanted to transfer my membership to someone else. Naturally, I called up Fitness First to check if I can transfer the membership and they told me that as long as they are willing to pay the transfer fee of 98 bucks and the remaining months of the membership, I am able to do the transfer. It sounds alright, correct? Then, when I attempted to transfer the membership, problems started to arise. Initially, the staff at Market Street Fitness First told me that yes, I can do the transfer(and that is after calling them multiple times as none of the staff can actually confirm it. They just told me to wait for their return calls which never ever happens.) Then after that, when I called for a last time to confirm when I wanted to make my way down, they suddenly told me that because I am on a term membership, they are unable to let me transfer my membership. (And I had already made arrangements with the person that will be taking over my membership) That w...

Stepping a little into the unknown - Flea Market at Clementi (8 June 2014 at Blk 323 Clementi Ave 5) Near the MRT Station

So, I have just stepped out of my comfort zone and ventured into the flea market trend. I have rented a booth at my house downstairs on 8 June and will be selling my stuff there from 9am - 4pm. Frankly, I have too much stuff to post on Carousell. So, I think flea market is the best way to go. Items on hand are clothes, NUS caps, NUS Tees, soft toys, books, comics,  stationery, bags, water bottles, (anything you can think of) PL said that he would come and support me (but he should! Since many of the stuff are his!) Do look for me if you are passing by Clementi! =D

PL's fourth day in Manila

This is his first work trip after we have gotten married. It is supposed to be the same but it is not the same. Somehow, I just missed him more this time round. I miss the times that he comes over to my place and waits till I fall asleep before going home. (One of the reasons why I have been sleeping earlier recently too) I miss his cheery hi when he steps into my house. I miss the long cuddles that we have. I have gotten so used to him being around at my side. Of course, he does call me almost every night but it's different. We will be busy doing our own stuff even though we are on the phone together. Frankly, it isn't that good because our concentration is always somewhere else. I can't wait for him to fly back on Friday, though I most probably wouldn't get to see him on Friday too, seeing how he has to wash clothes (Again ;( )

Remembering the good times :D

I think once in a while, it is good to remember the good stuff that the bf/gf/spouse has done for you. Our ROM day~~ I was quite happy with it, probably with the exception of the food part. He really did his part nearing the ROM, and I am extremely grateful for that. Haha.  The time when we went to Science centre and watched Spiderman He willingly get carried by the YEC peeps to be dropped into the swimming pool. LOL The first and last time we went to an escape game together. LOL. He was not very impressed by it sadly. And he wasn't willing to pay to go for it again. Look at him all cocoon-ed up~ So that I wasn't able to tickle him >.< I think this one was the Taiwan trip (going back to Taoyuan airport) cuz I sported the eye injury. He was super caring can~ *grins* We went to Palau Ubin even though he commented that it was quite far~ And it was one of the few outings we went out on (to hot and humid places without his bike) H...

Review: The Body Shop Clearing Lotion

I traded for this and a few other body shop stuff with my sweet valley books. I thought it wasn't a bad deal because after using it, my forehead acne cleared away :) My face is much clearer without all those little pimples at my forehead =D I actually went to look at the reviews of other bloggers and a lot of them commented that it made them breakout. However, for me, it wasn't the case. I have sensitive skin as well as an oily forehead, so probably it only works on oily skin. (I only apply on my forehead and the troubled spots.) Do try it if you have oily skin. I think it works fine for me :)
